Privacy
Last updated: October 16, 2026
This policy explains what information WorkersRights.News collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Newsletter and account sign-ups. If you subscribe or create an account, we collect your email address and, if you provide it, your name.
- Messages you send us. If you email us, we keep your message and contact information so we can respond.
- Usage and device data. We use Google Analytics, along with our publishing platform's own analytics, to see how visitors use the site, such as pages viewed, how you arrived (for example, from a search engine, social media, an ad, or an AI assistant), your device and browser, and your approximate location.
- Newsletter activity. Our newsletter may record whether an email was opened or a link was clicked.
Cookies, analytics, and advertising
We use cookies that are needed to keep you signed in and to run the site. We also use Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies and similar technology to measure readership and advertising. Google may collect information about your activity on this site and on other websites over time, and we may use it to show ads to people who have visited this site. Google handles this information under its own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy).
How we use your information
We use your information to send you the newsletter you signed up for, respond to your messages, run and improve the site, measure and promote our work, and keep the site secure.
What we don’t do
We don’t sell your personal information. We don’t give your name or email address to advertisers. The browsing information described above goes to Google through its analytics and advertising cookies.
Service providers
Our site is hosted by Ghost, which processes data on our behalf to run the site and send emails. Google provides our analytics and advertising tools. When you click an ad or a link to another website, that site’s own privacy policy applies.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the link at the bottom of every email. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, turn off personalized ads at adssettings.google.com, or install Google’s opt-out add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout). If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we turn off ad personalization for your visit. We don’t respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals because there is no common standard for them; Global Privacy Control is the signal we honor. To access, correct, or delete your information, email contact@workersrights.news. California residents may have additional rights under state law, and we will honor requests made under those laws.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
