Who we are

WorkersRights.News was founded by Attorney Ryan Stygar, a former California firefighter who has since become one of the most prominent workers’ rights lawyers in the country. Known online as Attorney Ryan, he has spent his career representing workers against abusive labor practices. He is lead counsel at SueMyBoss.Law and the author of Get It in Writing: The Ultimate Guide to Your Rights at Work (Penguin Random House).

We’re starting small, and we plan to grow by adding more attorneys and advocates who do this work every day.

How we work

Every story is selected and approved by our editorial team. We link to our sources so you can check the facts yourself. If we get something wrong, we will quickly correct it.

Our perspective

We are committed to getting the facts right, and every story is reviewed by an attorney before it’s published. But we are not neutral. The team at WR.N believes everyone is entitled to equal protection under the law. We are uncompromising in our view that everyone deserves fair pay, fair treatment, and a better deal at work.
